Philippines mourn for the lost of a great actor, Rudy Fernandez a.k.a "Baby Ama".
It was 6:15 in the morning when the Filipino was shocked by the news that Rudy was already dead. Although we all knew that he was suffering and has been battling with his Peri-Ampullary Cancer for a long time but still people especially his family, friends and fans cannot believe that he is already gone. He is such a great actor, a good husband, a loving father, a trusted friend and an Idol. An idol not just in movies and television, but also in fighting with his disease that succumbed him to death. During his trial times, he stood strong and smiling all along. He didn't show loneliness, disappointment, depression, hatred and hopelessness, instead he's still an inspiration, and an encouragement to all who knew and loves him. He prepared his family for his loss, for the loneliest and painful part of their life, which made his wife, Lorna, accept the fact that Rudy's fate is death.
Though it really saddened me (i knew especially my husband), I'm still happy that his sacrifices and battle now ended, he can now rest in peace in the hands of our Lord. Though it is really sad that we will never see him anymore, and much painful for his family and friends because they will no longer hug, kiss and see him for the rest of their lives, I'm sure that they are also happy because Rudy's sufferings has ended.
"You will always be an idol, Sir, a fighter, a strong person. Thank you for the memories and movies you left us. Thank you for sharing your life with us...May you rest in peace."
And now that he is gone, Philippine Showbiz will never be the same again without the man they called "DABOY" ...
